Recycled Plastic Noise Walls
Made from hard to recycle plastics including both post-consumer and pre-consumer waste streams.
Our patented Rotationally Moulded Panels (RMP) used for noise abatement and cladding facades are comprised of up to 80% recycled content and are designed to meet and endure the Australian climate. They can be customised to be aesthetically relevant for each community in which they are placed and are comparably lower cost with a smaller environmental footprint when compared with conventional concrete products.

Custom
Panels
With our patented rotationally moulded technique, we can create bespoke designs to suit any architectural or engineering design.
RMP noise walls can be made with almost any colour, or any texture of form that works with the project at hand. Our noise walls can be made to mimic other materials such as timber or concrete and can be designed to highlight the environment in which they are placed.
Standard
Panels
Our range of standard panels are suitable for commercial, industrial and residential applications.
With a choice of three variants, our standard panels are an ideal solution to replace existing timber sound barriers, or create new sound barriers to match a range of architectural styles. Made in Australia from up to 80% locally-sourced recycled content, our noise walls support a local Circular Economy.
Our Circular Process
Our Noise Walls can be made from up to 80% post-consumer kerbside recycled plastic, sourced locally in Australia.
This equates to millions of milk bottles being reused in a single job in addition to including hard to recycle soft plastics that would otherwise end up in landfill. At end of life, our Noise Walls are 100% recyclable at end of life and can be turned into new infrastructure again.
Lightweight &
Simple Installation
Our lightweight noise walls allow for faster and easier construction methods, reducing the reliance on heavy machinery and manual labour, and increasing project completion speed.
Benefits of RMP Noise Walls
Rotationally Moulded Plastic (RMP) Noise Walls provide significant benefits over traditional materials.
Lighter than concrete
Longer life than timber
100% Recyclable at end of life
Easy removal of graffiti
Easy to repair if damaged
Excellent resistance to weathering
Learn More About Noise Walls
Noise Walls versus Sound Barriers
Both noise walls and sound barriers are interchangeable terms for noise abatement solutions. Other common names are Noise Barriers, Noise Control Barriers, Sound Wall, Acoustic Fences and Acoustic Barrier. These products can be used in industrial, commercial, and residential spaces to reduce the amount of ambient noise travelling through a certain area.
Highway Noise Barriers
The most common application for our recycled plastic noise walls is for highway noise barriers and rail projects, our noise walls have been used on major infrastructure project in Australia and the world including Mordialloc Bypass, Peninsula Link, and Skyrail projects.
Our flexible manufacturing capabilities enables us to cater for projects of all sizes and other industries including commercial developments, greenfield sites, distribution centres, and warehouses.
Plastic Noise Walls versus Concrete Noise Walls
There are many types of noise walls including plastic noise walls, concrete noise walls, precast concrete noise walls. While each material type can be utilised for noise reduction, plastic noise walls made by Pact Infrastructure Solutions are manufactured with up-to 80% post-consumer recycled content. This enables Plastic Noise walls to play a key part in a local Circular Economy by diverting millions of tonnes of single use/one trip plastic waste from landfill and turning it into local infrastructure.
Plastic noise walls are manufactured off-site and are lightweight for easy installation allowing for a reduction in machinery and labour costs. The lightweight design also reduces exposure to operational health & safety risks and enables a faster more streamlined installation process. At the end of their life span, our plastic noise walls are 100% recyclable and can be turned into new products.
As leaders in rotational moulding, our plastic noise walls can feature intricate customisations, including text, imagery, logos, and colours.
Plastic Noise Walls versus Timber Noise Walls
Our recycled plastic noise walls are lightweight, easy to install and have inherent properties which differ to timber noise walls. Our advanced manufacturing process enables an extended lifespan for our noise walls, as they are manufactured to meet the requirements for large scale infrastructure products. Our recycled plastic noise walls are resistant to UV and have limited visual weathering over their lifespan. The unique material makeup ensures our recycled plastic noise walls are more resistant to graffiti. Graffiti removal is an easy process that will leave no shadowing or trace in the material. The panels can also be painted if preferred due to accessibility.
Do Plastic Noise Walls work with Acrylic Noise Walls
Yes, our recycled plastic noise walls can be incorporated into a design featuring Acrylic Noise walls to let in additional light. Our noise walls are both a sound barrier and a visual barrier, and can be installed with other substrates to meet architectural goals.
Noise Reflective Noise Walls versus Absorptive Noise Walls
Noise Reflective Noise Walls use a methodology which reflects the noise from the highway or noisy area and bounces that soundwave aware from the areas where noise reduction is required. Absorptive noise walls absorb that noise rather than reflect it, to reduce the noise in the unwanted area. Our recycled plastic noise walls are manufactured to be reflective noise walls, and due you our advanced manufacturing process, absorptive properties can be specified into the noise wall to further enhance the noise abatement properties.
What Recycled Content Is Used?
Our noise walls are manufactured from locally-sourced, post-consumer waste which diverts single-use and one-trip plastic from landfill. We use High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) resin, which is typically found in hard to recycled products, such as milk bottles and soft plastics which would otherwise end up in landfill. As Australia’s largest recycler of plastic through our Recycling Division, we have access to high quality, locally sourced resin which supports a true local Circular Economy.
HDPE is a lightweight, yet strong plastic resin whose natural properties are resistant to weather and temperature variations, impact resistant, has the flexibility to be moulded into almost nearly any shape, and resists mould and mildew so is perfect in areas with varying moisture content levels.
Manufactured In Australia
Our recycled plastic noise walls are rotationally moulded and manufactured in Australia. By choosing a local manufacture you are supporting Australian manufacturing jobs, and assuring the supply of your critical components and reducing supply chain risk.
