Brickwood’s and Lion support Foodbank

11 December 2012

Foodbank is the largest hunger relief organisation in Australia. A national organisation, with distribution centres in six states, the NT and eight regional centres, Foodbank distributed 19 million kilos of donated food last year, the equivalent of over 25 million meals. Foodbank helps feed over 70,000 people every day.

Foodbank supports over 2,200 welfare agencies providing soup kitchens, household hamper and emergency food parcels to the homeless and disadvantaged. To source these products, Foodbank actively seeks partnerships with food manufacturers to collaboratively produce staple food items.

Brickwood’s participation in the program will help raise awareness and recognition for the Dairy Industry and help address the issue of hunger in Australia.
