Pact Group wins Gold at the 2015 Australian Packaging Design Awards for Footy Water Bottle

16 November 2015

The annual Awards are run by the Packaging Council of Australia (PCA) with submissions judged by a panel of industry experts who assess nominations according to design and materials; environment and sustainability; accessibility and consumer interaction, and innovation.

Pact Group worked with The Promotions Factory (TPF) and the Australian Football League (AFL) to design and develop the innovative “Footy Water” bottle. The brief was to develop a PET water bottle that replicates the traditional Sherrin football shape and simultaneously promote water consumption and an active lifestyle. The challenge was that after consumption, the bottle had to be robust enough that it could be kicked around like a football without warping, splitting or breaking. Pact Group also make the closure which features the digitally printed AFL logo.
