Pact Packaging New Zealand (PPNZ) was proud to sponsor the Sustainability Award at this year’s NZ Ice Cream Association Awards—a celebration of innovation, flavour, and environmental responsibility in the local ice cream industry.

As long-time members of the association, PPNZ was thrilled to support an event that brought together 29 ice cream makers from across the country, all competing in categories such as Best Classic Flavour, Best Boutique Flavour, and the coveted Sustainability Champion Award.

This year’s Sustainability Award went to Little Lato, recognised for their outstanding commitment to sustainable practices in their operations. Pact was honoured to present the award and celebrate their achievement in person.

Beyond the awards, the event was a fantastic opportunity to deepen our understanding of the ice cream industry, connect with present and new contacts, and—of course—sample some truly delicious creations. One standout? A Mince & Cheese Pie Ice Cream that sparked plenty of conversation and divided opinions!
